I am also doing the Becoming the Woman God Wants Me To Be study.

I encourage you to finish this, and work through week 3. Then, after you've finished this study, I HIGHLY recommend doing Donna Partow's Becoming the Woman I Want to Be. It, too is a 90 day journey, but this one focusing on being healthy physically, emotionally AND spiritually. It's a great journey, as well, one that I finished about a month ago, losing 63 pounds (since January). I've lost another 5 since I finished the book, with 32 more to go to my final goal.

I, too, didn't want to go there (into the food area), but I realized that God has a purpose for me, and I can't fulfill it, if I'm not feeling well all the time.

I hope these help you, they have really helped me!!!

(But STOP looking ahead, and worrying about the future, 1 day at a time!!!)

That is so neat that he wants to be a Youth Pastor!! I am sure he would be really good at it. How cool that he is already starting to really see and understand some of the things that God has instore for him and that God does have plans and gifts for each and everyone of us!!

Praise God! I've been reading your stories (as I subscribe) and felt the need to comment this time. Isn't it funny how God works? Just when you think He's not there, He shows up and reminds us that he is!

As a mom, I have experienced many random acts of kindness from others. It seems that whenever I go somewhere with my children, people offer to open doors or let me get on the elevator before they do. Perhaps a few of those kind acts were really a means to get away from my screaming toddler, but nonetheless, I faced the rest of my day feeling much lighter. While God certainly asks us to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you," I find that performing a random act of kindness gives me a surge of energy that no cup of coffee could rival, although I do have to admit that I LOVE a good cup of joe! I can't wait to buy someone (especially another mother) a cup of coffee the next time I am out! And by the way--Caribou Coffee is my absolute favorite coffee ever!
