I've done my fair share of Black Friday shopping. Wake up early, pack some hot cocoa and warm clothes and then settle in for the wait. I've gotten some great deals doing that too.

Did I miss the memo that came out naming the day after Thanksgiving "Black Friday." After googling the term, I found out that is when retailers start to go into the black and start making a profit on the year. I don't know, but it just sounds so depressing to call it "Black Friday." I feel like I should be in mourning or something.

I was right there with you girl. We were the first in line at Target at 3am. I had everything I nedded and was checking out at 6:04, car loaded by 6:07 and back inside Target at 6:10 for a potty stop and a live interview with the local tv station. What was so hilarious is that on Black Friday we always use our credit card and not cash cause we are in such a rush...and this year we used the it twice at Target(husband in one line, me in another) and then at Home Depot(same thing twice) and it was only like 10 minuets after target...and Discover flagged my account for fraud and froze it. When it declined I just figured it was system overload so we used the Debit card instead for the rest of the day. I got home and found an email from Discover telling me that since it was used at different stores multiple times in less than 30 minutes they were concerned with fraud...I was thankful but cracking up that our "stealth" shopping black listed us!!!

Hope you got all you wanted.
