Please Pray

Please pray for Michael. We are going through some stuff with him. Things that need to be dealt with so that we have a healthy, happy child.

I also need prayer for myself. I feel like I’m not doing a very good job as a parent…I’m trying to do what’s best, but feel like I’m failing at it.

Thank you!

Daniel & Andrew are 3!!

(This entry is backdated)
I can’t believe I missed posting about this on my blog here! It’s not because I didn’t think about it, we’ve all been just sick.

Anyway, on February 16th, Daniel & Andrew turned 3! They are growing so big! From the 2 pounds (that’s how much each of them weighed) to the 25 pounds they are now in 3 short years! They amaze me, like all my children do, with everything they learn. I don’t know if I’m more aware of what they learn because they are twins, or because they are my last…not sure there, but I do feel like I notice it more!

We had Cake and ice cream on their birthday and they got a few presents (what’s a birthday without gifts, right??). We will celebrate next week when my parents come down, not only for their birthday, but also for mine!

Anyway, I just wanted to share!

Prayer Covering needed!

I have never been hit so hard by Satan’s attempts to drag me down as I have these past couple of days! I know it has to do with my involvement in what God wants me to do…Praise & Worship, Teaching Sunday School, & VBS…and with Kevin getting involved…Sound team.

Michael is showing signs of rebellion and it came to a head today. I don’t want to go into it right now, I just am asking for prayer.

5 of the 6 of us are sick! And get this…I was supposed to sing this weekend and Kevin was supposed to run sound. Not to mention that Saturday is Daniel & Andrew’s birthday. Do you see how Satan is trying to drag us down! Please pray for us. I need a Spiritual covering and am in dire need of getting immersed in His word!

Thanks!

We’re dropping like flies!

Saturday night, Kevin started feeling sick (lots of congestion), so he went to bed early. About 9:30 Michael wakes me up and says his ears are hurting, so I take him to the Urgent Care (I don’t mess around with ear aches…I’ve had my share of ear infections…they HURT!). He had a double ear infection and a red throat!!

Sunday, I take Noah, Daniel, & Andrew to church (Michael was instructed to stay home on Sunday). Sunday evening, Kevin finally broke down and went to the doctor…he has an Upper Respiratory Infection.

Monday, Kevin stayed home from work since he had been carrying a fever. Monday evening, I start sneezing and my nose wouldn’t stop running…I’m coming down with a cold!!

Today (Tuesday), Noah didn’t have school because of the ice storm we had. Kevin was off today too…he is still running a fever, so he’s going to be off again tomorrow!

So, we’ve made the inevitable decision to cancel our plans with Kevin’s brother and wife since they have 2 girls (1 with diabetes and 1 that’s only 4 months old). I hate to have to cancel, but as bad as I feel about that, I would feel worse if they were to get something from us!!

Please pray that we all get over this sickness quickly!! Thanks!

Proud of my boy!!

Well, he did it! He was able to get his board all finished and talk about his project to the judges yesterday!

I could tell he was nervous when he started, but when I peeked back at him, he seemed to be more comfortable telling the judges whatever they wanted to know!

Then came the awards ceremony…Everyone who participated got a Red ribbon. Then they gave another ribbon to each participant…White was a Good rating, Yellow was a Excellent rating, and Blue was for a Superior rating.

Just knowing how much time and effort my child put into it (not much), I figured he would get either a White or Yellow.

NOPE! He got a Blue one! Both Judges gave him a Superior rating!! You should have seen his face when he realized how well he did! He marched right in the house, ribbons in hand and told his dad!!

Science Fair

Michael has his first Science Fair today! I’m nervous for him! Since he’s in the 5th grade, he isn’t required to do a report (good thing, I don’t think it would have been done on time).

They are also having a learning fair at the same time. Michael said he would like to put in an art project too! I’m not sure what art project he’s planning on entering, but he wanted to work on one today! We have to be there by 1:30, so hopefully he won’t rush through one just to enter! (It’s optional, so he doesn’t have to).

Anyway, I’ll let you know how it goes!!

Overwhelmed!

I’m starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with VBS! I think I’m thinking too much…trying to figure out too much detail right now. I’ll be having another meeting here in the next week or so. Hopefully, things aren’t so confusing to me by then!
