As frustrating as it seems when you are in the valley, the encouraging part is that you are convicted! The God sends the Holy Spirit to move in His children constantly and whether we rebel or follow, He is still right there. We wander away, but He is constant...our rock and fortress.

Hang in there...this season will pass and you will discover new mercies.

I agree with Lisa. We all go through times when we feel like everything we do is a struggle. Not too long ago I heard someone say that not only is the narrow gate entrance narrow but the path is also narrow. We have to strive and press for the prize. And you are right, prayer and time in God's Word is heading in the right direction! Thanks for your honesty in your answers!

we all experience this annabelle...

i love how c.s. lewis describes this as 'undulations' or a natural ebb and flow between peaks and valleys. The valleys can be so exhausting and yet God is so near us there. I know from experience Satan attacks desire for the Word. The only way to get it back is by forcing yourself to obey even when you don't feel like it. Sounds simplistic but the only thing that has ever worked for me.

I also wonder if you are physically exhausted? It seems my greatest despairs come when I am flat out tired. But that's a whole other post :))

I know God has great plans for you...hang in there with Him!

much love,
Lisa
