And..

Daniel has 2 TEETH!!
They both popped through his bottom gums at the same time!!

9 months!

Missed it again!

Daniel and Andrew turned 9 months old on Wednesday (16th).

Accomplishments:
Scooting (both of them do what I call the army crawl…1 arm, 1 leg)
Dada (they both babble dada while they are playing or talking to you)
Mama (Daniel usually yells this when he’s mad…Andrew has said it once or twice)
Sitting (with help)
Kisses (they both love to give kisses when you ask for them)

They are both so sweet! We had a follow-up NICU visit last Thursday. They said they were doing everything an 8 month would do (they only expect them to be at a 7 month level), except sitting up. They said that they should be sitting better than they do, so they are a bit concerned about that. I’m not too concerned, the last time they saw my boys was 4 months ago…how would they know what they actually do during the day? They were only giving me their assessment based on what they saw them doing. On Friday, they had their 9 month appointment. Daniel weighs 14 pounds something and Andrew weighs 16 pounds something (can’t remember the actual weights). Also they both got 2 shots…they did really well too, not too much fussing at all!

Overall they are doing great! My sweet and loving boys! ;)

What a day!

23 November 2005 @ 12:13 am

Man, it’s been a long day!

Well, I’ll start from yesterday. At around noon, Kevin’s parents showed up (Michael had Grand person’s day at his school) and then about 1:30 my mom showed up. They all went to the school and I cleaned up a bit more (the house wasn’t too bad, but could use some more work). After they got back, we all just hung out and talked. Noah got all his grandparents to play cards with him. After Kevin got home from work, I ordered take-out from O’Charley’s. That was yummy!! Kevin’s parents ended up leaving around 7 pm for home. My mom was staying overnight because we needed a babysitter in the morning!

So, after supper, mom and I took off for Wal-Mart with the twins, just to walk around. We bought some material for me to make more “blanks” for Daniel and Andrew (they love their fleece blankeis!). Then we came back home. We were just so exhausted…mom from working that morning and me from Daniel not really getting much sleep the night before.

Then this morning, we got Michael up and ready for school, Kevin got up and got ready to go to his Dr’s appt., then I got ready to go. Mom stayed here with Noah, Daniel, and Andrew and made sure Michael got off to school on time. Kevin was due in at 8:30 am! We sat in the office for 15 minutes before being told that his dr. had an emergency at the hospital and was running late. So we wait and watch all the “old folks” coming and going from the office. Kevin makes mention of how he’s the youngest person in the waiting room! He gets called back and I get myself comfortable and start reading my book (The Chronicles of Narnia). I couldn’t believe how quickly his procedure was! It didn’t seem all that long before he was done!

One good thing…it seems as though our Insurance has covered the procedure 100%! WOW! I’m still a bit leery and figure a bill will come…but 100% would be WONDERFUL!

Anyway, Kevin has spent most of the day upstairs in bed watching movies. Noah stayed with him while mom and I ran and got some much needed groceries and lunch. He’s still a bit sore and exhausted. I’m hoping that he’ll feel a lot better tomorrow! Today he was told to be on his back all day! And then instructed to take it easy for 7 days!

Anyway, I gotta get going, Daniel is calling…I hope this isn’t another long night! I just wanted to pop in and let you all know how it went today!

I feel…: loved

Kevin’s Birthday!

Kevin’s 35th birthday is today! I love this man so much! I just can’t imagine my life without him! God knew what he was doing when he made him!! This song really hits home!

When God Made you
By: Newsong

VERSE(1):
It’s always been a mystery to me
How two hearts can come together
And love can last forever
And now that I have found you I believe
That a miracle is come
When God sends a perfect one

CHORUS:
Now gone are all my questions about why
And I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life
Oh I wonder what God was thinking
When He created you
I wonder if He knew everything I will need
Because He made all my dreams come true
When God made you
He must’ve been thinking about me

VERSE(2): (Sung by Natalie Grant)
I promise that wherever you may go
Wherever life may lead you
With all my heart I’ll be there too
From this moment on I want you to know
I’ll let nothing come between us
And I will love the ones you love

CHORUS
Now gone are all my questions about why
And I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life
I wonder what God was thinking
When He created you
I wonder if He knew everything I will need
Because He made all my dreams come true
When God made you
He must’ve been thinking about me

BRIDGE:
He made the sun and made the moon
To harmonize in perfect tune
One can’t move without the other
They just have to be together
And that is why I know it’s true
Your for me and I’m for you
Cause my world just can’t be right (can’t be right)
Without you in my life

I wonder what God was thinking
When He created you
I wonder if He knew everything I would need
Because He made all my dreams come true
He must’ve heard every prayer
I’d been prayin’
(I’d been prayin’)
Yes He knew everything I would need
When God made you
(I thank God He made you)
When dreams come true
When God made you
He must’ve been thinking about me

Happy Birthday Honey!! I love you!

Uh oh!!

We’re Moving!!!

I’m in shock and disbelief! I can’t believe it’s so soon!

Now, so that I can pick you all up off the floor from shock, I’m talking about Daniel and Andrew crawling!! LOL

It started last week, Andrew and Daniel have been rolling all over the place, and I was beginning to wonder how they were getting into the places they were. When the Early Intervention specialists came last week, they noticed that Andrew was scooting, but just barely on his stomach and pointed it out to me. I can’t believe I missed that. For the past couple of days, I’ve been watching them closely. Daniel and Andrew are still rolling to get somewhere fast, but they are on their bellies, doing what I call the “Army Crawl”. I’m sure they’ll be up and actually crawling soon!
