Well, I’m at 29 weeks…I need to make it to 34 weeks and my dr won’t stop labor!! That’s not too much longer! She’d like me to hold off until 37 weeks, which sounds good to me…induction will be in the week of 38.

My shower yesterday was great! 22 people showed up (that’s counting the younger children…which there wasn’t too many of them). I got a lot of nice things…a double stroller, lots of clothes, gift cards to Wal-Mart, diapers (both cloth and disposable), etc. It was great! I wasn’t expecting that amount of people or gifts!! They played a lot of games…1 game we played, we had to figure out the type of baby food…some of that was disgusting LOL. Then they did something really sweet, they opened a package of newborn diapers and had everyone write words of encouragements on them, so when I change their diapers, I’ll see what everyone wrote! How sweet!

Now we are just waiting on Kevin to get his first check from his contract work and then go purchase some mattresses for Michael and Noah’s bunk beds and get them up so I can get the twin’s room all put together!! I feel like that’s the main thing right now and we are just waiting for things to get moving!

I feel…: loved

Things are going fine still! I’ve gained a total of 12 pounds so far this pregnancy! We are seeing jumps of 3-4 pounds every 2 weeks, which the dr said isn’t a problem since I hadn’t gained much. Both boys’ heartbeats were 150. I’m measuring at 37 weeks. The dr did mention that it looked as though my stomach is more wide than high. She checked my cervix again, still closed and thick! She gave me the go ahead to go to my shower this weekend! She seemed a bit concerned since my bp was “border-line” at the beginning of my appt…but when the other nurse (they switched on me during my visit) checked, she said it was normal. So she said not to worry, it could have been the way she took it/and the cuff she used. My next appt is Feb 7th. She said unless there’s a change, we’ll stick to every 2 week visits until 36 weeks!

I feel…: calm

I am feeling a lot better now. Last night I pretty much stayed on the couch and then went to bed. I propped a pillow up behind my back (haven’t done that since I was pregnant with Noah) and slept a lot better than I have been in the past few days! I don’t plan on doing anything today either…well, maybe load/unload the dishwasher, but that’s about it!!

I feel…: tired

I went out to eat with Noah today to Applebee’s. While I was there, my back started hurting pretty bad. So as soon as we were done, I headed back home. Well, my back was still hurting…then it stopped, then it started up again! I started thinking that I was going into preterm labor!! So I came straight home, sent Noah upstairs for his nap, and called Kevin…he didn’t answer, and then called Deb. She told me to call the dr’s office and talk to a nurse. So I did…and after talking to the nurse, I was told to lay down, take some tylonal and use a heating pad. She also told me to stop lifting the garage door. So this is where I’m at now…I’m on the couch with the heating pad. The nurse told me not to worry unless I start cramping, bleeding, or the pain gets worse! Since I’ve been on the couch, my back is feeling better and I’m getting really sleepy now!

Scared the crap out of me and upset me too. I’m so glad that I’m not in labor!!

I feel…: nervous

I just got back from my OB appt. Everything is going great! Boys’ heartbeats were both 153! Blood pressure was normal, and I gained 4 1/2 pounds! She also checked my cervix again (only because the nurse had me get undressed) and it was still thick and closed. She gave me a prescription for Pepsid and told me that I could use the Pepsid AC (OTC) if I would prefer…which ever was cheaper for me. I’ll have another u/s at 32 weeks (somewhere the week of Feb 21st…what a great Birthday present huh? My birthday is the 22nd). She also said that a good goal for me was to make it to 37 weeks…that would be the best (37 weeks would be the week of March 28th). If I get to 38 weeks, they’ll induce me. She wants me to at least make it to 34 weeks (which is the week of March 7th). She won’t do another cervix check until/if things change or I start contracting. So as long as these boys stay head down we’ll be having a vag. delivery!! Can I say again that I really love this dr?!!

When the dr measured my belly, she told me that it was the size of woman at 36 weeks pregnant with 1 baby!! WOW!!

My next appt is in 2 weeks…January 27th!
